Traditional event, devoted to “Alfa Romeo club of Lithuania” members and “Alfa Romeo” admirers
Traditional „Alfa Romeo club of Lithuania“ season opening event „Alfaturas“ starts on June 7th, for the seventh time already! We shall accentate models „164“ and „166“, which both celebrate accordingly 10th and 20th aniversary!
The club unifies more than 40 active members, and attracts more and more spectators and attendants to this annual event. This year we are expecting our best friends from Latvia – „Alfa Romeo club“, official dealers of „Alfa Romeo“, the delegates from the Embassy of the Republic of Italia, companies, which provide spare parts of italian cars and hold service.
From the beggining of foundation „Alfa Romeo“ propagated the idea of a sports car; „Cuore Sportivo“ always ment passionate, sporty, made to win heart to all the drivers, to whom vehicle means more than a simple wagon, but also the exeptional driving pleasure. „Alfa Romeo club of Lithuania“ wishes to proceed this idea and offers an extreme go-kart championship „Alfa Le‘Mans 2008“ to the participants of the fiesta. The race, which shall last for two hours without stopping shall give high and venturesome experiences both to the participants and spectators!
The organizers will invite you all to proceed the fiesta at a country side residence nearby. Traditionally we shall have a „christening“ of a new members‘, a football „championship“, all sauna lovers shall have the oportunity to try various saunas. „We expect that this year we shall be unified not only because of love to the italian cars, but the good mood too; that members and guests, firstly proved their skills in the go-kart championship, later will have a good time in the surrounds of beautiful nature“, - said Indraja Raudonikyte, CEO of „Alfa Romeo club of Lithuania“.

11.00 The parade of the cars starts moving to Aukstadvaris.

NOTES.
Championship “Alfa Le’Mans 2008”- is the race with rental go-karts, where 8 to 12 teams compete for two hours without stopping. Teams must be created from 3-5 members and must be registered with its names. Possible teams:
a) Embassy of the Republic of Italia
b) UAB “Autobrava”
c) UAB “Autoprizmė”
d) “Alfa Romeo club of Latvia”
The rest teams are being created from the members of “Alfa Romeo club of Lithuania”; forum participants, fans.
The rules:
*There will be 8-12 teams of 3-5 members.
*The race will last for two hours (length might be shortened accordingly to the weather conditions). Every 45-60 minutes – a short 15 min brake to check the go-karts and fill the fuel.
*After the brake, first 5 teams shall start in the order according to the results, shown before the brake. Next teams will be let out every 5 seconds.
*There will be no qualifications – the start number of the team shall be settled by lot.
* One member of a team must drive not less than 8 minutes, but not longer that 12 minutes.
Disregarding the rule, penalties shall be given.
*The change system of drivers shall be given before the race.
*Go – karts shall be changed in the principals of rotation – when drivers will change, every next team gets each other’s cart. This order shall be explained before the race.
*The winner shall that team, which will pass more circles during the set time ( 2 or less hours).
Special equipment shall enables us for the live comments about teams, laps driven, time tables and events on the racing track.
2. The participation fee to all participants and guests – 12 LVL per person. This includes race, overnight stay at a country side residence – no tents needed!, sauna, but not dinner. Please make yourselves equipped of a local currency – Litas, the supplies like shashlik, kebab, beer, snacks etc, shall be sold during ALL the day at a cartodrome and countryside residence.
